Type Shhh Privacy Policy

Overview

Type Shhh is designed for private note-taking in shared spaces. The app stores notes in its local app container. Type Shhh does not operate an account, sync, or note-upload service, so we do not receive your notes.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your note content. We do not run third-party analytics, ad trackers, or behavioral profiling tools in the app.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your note content because we do not receive it.

Visual masking

The masking control changes how note text appears on screen to reduce shoulder surfing. It is not encryption and does not alter the original note text stored by the app.

User-directed sharing

If you use the Share command, the original, unmasked note text is sent to the app or service you select. That recipient handles the shared content under its own privacy practices.

Device and computer backups

Depending on your settings, the operating system may include Type Shhh app data in a device or computer backup. We do not receive or control those backups.

Support communications

If you email support, we receive your email address and any information you include in that message. Please avoid sending sensitive note content in support emails. We keep support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records. You can request deletion by emailing the privacy address below.

Your control

You can delete notes directly in the app at any time. Deleting the app may remove locally stored notes, depending on your device and backup settings.
